Copies of the infamous single arrived at DGM today, and were promptly carried the ten yards to the butcher's shop next door, as well as to the local school.
I also hand delivered copies toVirgin Records in Salisbury - who had agreed to make a local stock purchase (not that anyone in the shop could recall the agreement). While I was "in discussion" with the manager, a man announcing himself to be from Derbyshire, who overheard "School charity single", came over and asked to be allowed to buy one... "allowed to buy one!"...I couldn't take his £4 fast enough. He has my everlasting thanks for making believe that this project may yet achieve all that it has set out to do, and for persuading Virgin records that they should be stocking it.
