Toyah set off at for

14.42 Toyah set off at 07.50 for London, en route to Manchester for "Heaven And Earth". On Monday she's off to Israel for the BBC Holiday programme. The Sagging Gigster's Suitcase Of Distressful Weight and Wheelie Wonder-Pro Of Excellence are in the car with my travelling clothes on a separate hanger. I prefer to travel in black, not to accentuate a voguish moodiness but for sheer practicality: when travelling long distances, your clothes get dirty rapidly. Food and drink being spilled on me while in-flight is an infrequent but regular occurrence & black clothes more readily accommodate mishaps such as these. My travel clothes are now a paler shade of black through many washings. So, clean but prepared to become less so, I shall soon set off for London. The flight is tomorrow morning, hurtling me towards Chez Belewbeloid and the terror of a new Crimson studio album.

15.04 Toyah has called from the BBC in Manchester, which seems an appropriate moment to close.
