A call from the Slinky Minx, who related a series of coincidences and synchronicities involving the well-known author of a book, a title I’m taking as a present from T to the Rieflins in Seattle; which author was staying with friends of ours just by Bredonborough; whose work T has read and gives to several friends; whose own wife introduced the author to KC; and other connections.

Then I hit the street. The corner bakery, once more, was not quite on top of its game…

And once more, to the Apple store for software and hardware tumescence…

Now, dealing with 81 in the inbox and packing for our drive to Milwaukee.

22.50     Airport Hotel Acceptable, Milwaukee.

View This Afternoon…

Our accommodation is chosen for swift access to the airport tomorrow morning: John and I fly to Seattle for Bill Rieflin’s Slow Music project, leaving Biff behind in his dwelling-city.

The Basement of The Rave, Milwaukee…

Dressing Room (of several)…

Hospitality…

Yes: the dressing rooms are florid and colourful. The design style is dark, colourful, rich and dark red.

Once again, a stand-up rock club with bars. No idea how Soundscapes were received. No Four Quarters’ Maintainers, but some supportive listeners. The performer’s work was to hold the space against a background of constant talking. But, I was in the wrong place with the right band.

Following the performance, photos with my PT pals and an au revoir until December in the UK.

Farewell Pals…

Wilson & Fripp…

Final packing and re-packing underway.
