Hotel Acceptable Charlotte NC A

09.40

Hotel Acceptable, Charlotte, NC.

A grey day in downtown Charlotte…

E-flurrying, with all manner of various arisings.

11.56    Charlotte>Greenville. On the road again…

John pretends that a map helps get us to where we’re supposed to be going…

Hey! Why not try two?…

15.18  Hotel Acceptable, Greenville, SC.

This is my second room. The first had a great view of a parking lot. This faces into the hotel atrium. Looking forwards…

Looking downwards…

A modest hotel lunch-buffet & an investigatory perambulation along a Main  Street worth the walk, which includes an ace bookshop. Now, e-flurrying.

16.26  There is considerable debate ongoing within the DGMLive.com camp regarding the particular download of a sonically-appalling bootleg with rarity value. What is fair for punters? What is the nature of DGM Live? How do we recoup the considerable expenditure already involved?

23.16  Well. What to say? Tonight’s venue was the Handle Bar, Greenville, SC…

Front Bar…

… where unsuspecting consumers have been lured by promises of fast licks & cheap thrills & the reasonable expectation of classic King Crimson material…

… plus the autography of all memorabilia, personally signed to My Dear Friend, Mr. e-Bay, your Ungrateful Friend of long & close acquaintance, Bobby and personal photographs embracing the Artiste, who is here only for you.

A generous audience. Playing to ongoing conversation & with more drunks present than in a very long time. The Q&A was well humoured, with some of the dopiest questions presented to me in a public context.

As for the music: who knows?

We had problems, for the third day running, with small technical issues within the production team; we left the DGMLive.com postcards (already late reaching the tour) at the hotel; a small technical issue with the guitar’s midi-pickup. So, we are not quite up to speed yet.

Overall, not an easy performance; but performance muscles are not developed by walking downhill.

FQMs: for the second day running, Danielle & Robert.
