Bredonborough.

Today is Director Rieflin’s birthday.

Rising to a grey day.

…  to acquire the Minx’s Sunday reading for when she rises. T arrived in the early hours from a successful show in Sheffield, and immediately set about organizing her waiting piles of stuff, retiring c. 04.00.

… accompanied, firstly, by Joe the Prolific’s String Quartets. These  accompany just about anything and most of everything. Then to Finzi, as English a composer as any? Finzi works well when I am feeling English, on a Sunday morning, in a Georgian house (1760 with earlier origins), in the centre of an English market town, in the middle of England. An exemplary accompaniment to a gentle Autumn morning, this a metaphor for my life.

Preparing lunch for T, then domestic organizing, and into the Cellar…

We are off to our local pals, for formerly of the haunted house across the Market Square. c. 18.15.

21.40    A fab, relaxed evening with chums. The boat was pushed out, but not so far as to prevent a return.
