The copper cables that carry local telephony were stolen recently, leaving two villages without telephones. Personal intervention of the bishop resulted in new copper lines being replaced within 24 hours, so I am told. Telephony from the office here is exciting.
A new Guitar Craft model by Eduardo Daniel Beaudoux - El Fanta – has appeared.
14.33 This morning…
Kitchen Team meeting.
Inaugural Meeting: Part II.
Introduction to the Alexander Technique by Mariela.
A few words on the Morning Sitting.
First meeting with Level One.
Lunch: silence appeared very strongly at 13.10, fell on deaf ears, and left. Zum played very well.
Intro to that part of the kitchen where the washing-up is done, for students to get to know the area and navigate it safely.
A sufficient quota of despair has been served me for today. Firstly, with the Level One at 15.00. Secondly, the Level Two at 16.30. Level One wrestled the complexities of counting to four; Level Two the rocket science of C major. The Level One were told the story of how, on Guitar Craft courses in Roman times, the instructors were provided with baths, very hot water and razor blades, as a mercy.
17.41 Reflecting on these past two meetings, it seems that a radical change is needed in how I relate to Guitar Craft students and courses. This has likely effect on current future-plans.
18.55 T’ai Chi with Luciano at 18.00 then Quiet Time.
21.15 Good comments over dinner.
Q: Why is the morning sitting important?
A: Forming an energetic structure. What-we-are submits to who-we-are. Relaxation is a beginning-foundation for other exercises, most of which have not yet been introduced in GC. We are active towards the energies of sensation (the direct experience of the presence of life in the body), the feelings, and mental energies. These energies begin to cohere, over time, although this subtle structure remains vulnerable and may be dispersed if subject to unfortunate external conditions.
After dinner: discussion with Hernan regarding the present stage of GC.
22.32 Guitar Meeting in the dining room with 71 people, and 70 guitars, in the circle.
Subjectively, a hard day for me.
