Today at the Vicarage : The Vicarage

An inspiring few days. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I joined the big two at DGM World Central for a listen to recent KC recordings. I was already familiar with many of the new songs – but Belew's unaccompanied Haiku are astounding. The boy did good, in world cup parlance.

In fact, the World Cup has definitely entered the hallowed halls of DGM – On Monday, there was more than a hint of Schadenfreude at the early departure of the old enemy, France. In the small things, we may read the large – perhaps, this is a nation that is not at ease with itself.

TheVicar ltd continues to wait for its first paycheck. Roger Borer, beast of terror, is in discussion with "various interested parties". Perhaps, I shall wait to see their money (or not) before naming and shaming them. The moment of truth cannot be far away – Vivien's script has everyone excited.

It was definitely time we replaced Punk with a professional. My thanks go out to her, together with my best wishes for her health.
