This track is now available for download as part of a bumper collection of Mr Stormy's Monday Selections - his second year of random romps through the murky, cavernous DGM archives, torch in hand, fedora upon his head.

Still in its early stages of development we get a chance to hear another take by Robin Miller and the uncredited string players [endtease]who featured prominently on Prelude: Song Of The Gulls. Alongside Miller and crew, just beyond the studio baffles, Ian Wallace is heard beyond the studio baffles offering a drum pattern that would eventually be abandoned in favour of a far more minimal approach. Miller’s soaring melancholic tones have a forlorn beauty to them entirely in keeping with what is still on of Fripp’s most enduring and heartfelt melodies from the period.

Engaging in a spirit of goodwill, I have to say a big ThankYou for sharing this pearls with us.The dry sound of the strings and oboe following the lead tempo by the drums;  a work in progress fragment of the making of such a masterpiece like Islands simply amazes me in such a way..
