Alex Mundy has painstakingly restored the concert experience by matching the surviving original reels with audience recordings to provide us with a close approximation of Fripp's The Music System lecture tour.
“Does King Crimson make a lot of money? Well King Crimson is working four months out of the six months out of the first half of this year. We’re working on the third album of this present line-up and we’re not delivering the album until the second half of the year. So I’m getting no figures for four months work. I have to make my six months figures in March. The immediate stimulus for this month of lectures, performance, whatever was when my accountant manager Sam from EG told me how much money I had to earn in two months flat. That was a stimulus. I was looking towards this approach but I probably would have rested between the two bouts of the Crimson work rather than come out and do this now.”
