Live gigs can be odd occasions and this one is certainly one of those. During the LoG's second night at The Marquee a less-than-happy punter calls Fripp a c*nt. several times. The guitarist memorably ripostes that he's the pr*ck in the band - the c*nt is a little further to the right. When, after a sublime piece of playing on Boy At Piano, Fripp comes back to apologise for any offence his on-stage comment may have caused, the banter continues some more. All good natured stuff? One supposes it makes a change from people yelling "Epitaph!" It does however seem to put the normally rock solid and sure-fingered Sara Lee off her game during the next number, Christian Children, Marching. A fiery Dislocated knocks the place flat to be immediately followed by the strangely bitter-sweet duet between Andrews and Fripp; a lovely pause for breath. Following a misstep introduction to Minor Man by the rhythm section, the band get back up to full-steam. Another great soundboard recording lets us get a little closer to Barry Andrew's Crumar organ than is usual on LoG downloads. Aside from some that retro roller-rink sound he's often adding gritty textures and spiky pointilistic cascades.
