This track was one of Stormy's Monday selections. It is currently unavailable, but will be part of his next bumper collection. His sixth year of treasures from the murky, cavernous DGM archives, is now available for download.

The guitar solo on Sailor’s Tale is one the key moments in Crim history and now, thanks to Mr.Stormy’s endeavors you can now hear one of the early takes. The completed solo, as it appears on the album, was a composite of a couple of takes. Although we’re unsure which take this is on this download but it doesn’t spoil your enjoyment of Fripp testing out a variety of ideas, a large portion of which would go into the final mix. It should be noted that this is completely different version to the alternate mix which appeared on the 40th Anniversary Edition, and is taken directly from the Islands multi-tracks by Mister Stormy.

Thank you!
Outstanding outtake.  So nice to hear any alternate takes of what is most certainly the album highlight.  Such a surprisingly bizarre guitar sound in the slower section, which never fails to rivet the listener.  Keep ’em coming Alex!
