This track was one of Stormy's Monday selections. It is currently unavailable, but will be part of his next bumper collection. His fourth year of treasures from the murky, cavernous DGM archives, torch in hand, fedora upon his head is now available for download.

In the midst of the recording sessions for Islands there emerged a quick work-out between Ian, Boz and Robert. A jaunty snippett of soul-orientated funk, it’s interesting to hear Robert’s guitar with so much studio-applied reverb.

Play that funky music, Crim boys!
Who’da thought The Beast could be this soulful? You can see where a completed piece such as this could have ended up in this version’s ouevre. Shame there isn’t more.

Interesting and unique
I so wish this were longer than a minute. I’ve never heard Fripp play quite like this, and I like it! Has a Stax/Volt flavor but with the fast jazz flourishes characteristic of Fripp’s playing during this time period. Five out of five stars!

Jaunty
This must be the jauntiest recording I’ve ever heard by King Crimson. You can tap your tootsies and even dance to this! Very enjoyable!
