This track was one of Stormy's Monday selections. It is currently unavailable, but will be part of his next bumper collection. His sixth year of treasures from the murky, cavernous DGM archives, is now available for download.
ProjeKct 6 arose from what were meant to be Double Duo writing sessions. Picking up on the rhythmic templates established by P2, the bass-drum triggered bass line ushers in a stately procession of soundscape layers and numerous sorties across the length of the fretboard and associated stompboxes. There’s lots to admire within the the eleven minutes presented here; near the five minute mark there’s a brief tiny solo that’s nevertheless ornate and brimming with ideas. In case you missed it, here’s something similar at around 10 minutes. Fripp’s assessment of the session? “Lotsa fun, very exciting, and the sense of something new coming online.”
