Holy Moly! How’s this for some heavy construcKing with a difference? Alex Mundy has taken Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto from 2004, Robert Fripp from 1998 and Keith Tippett from the Lizard sessions in 1970, and mixed them together. The result of this remarkable collision in time and space? Heavy Skirmish.

In this alternative universe in Crimhistory it sounds as though there was a very special ProjeKct that boldly brings together bulldozer grooves, free jazz piano and laser beam guitar. I don’t know about you but that’s a ProjeKct I'd love to see!

The date on which each were recorded is rendered irrelevant because the underlying emotive impetus behind the separate recorded elements appears to be very similar. They might as well have been in the same room at the same time.  What a perfect melding.The real genius however is that you were able to connect these dots.This composite oddly mirrors why the new Crimson works so well performing the classic material in the current repertoire.
