I’D LIKE TO SUBSTITUTE MY PREVIOUS REVIEW FOR THIS ONE:

Contrary to the majority of fans, ISLANDS was always my favourite album and the ISLANDS line-up my favourite of all Crimsons.  EARTHBOUND, to me, is an exceptional live album:  I like the way this line-up improvises within FUNK and JAZZ languages like, for instance, on  PEORIA  (a great SOUL number filled with fantastic Mel Collins sax improvisations). When Crimson released EARTHBOUND, Fripp’s solo on PEORIA was faded, so here we have the opportunity to know what happens after that fade-out. The soulfull and groovy PEORIA alone justifies the purchase of this concert, but as a bonus we also have great performances of Cadence And Cascade, Schizoid Man and Ladies Of The Road. PEORIA and LADIES OF THE ROAD are the gems here. BOZ aggressive vocals on LADIES are superior to the album’s version and ROBERT’s "tense" solo is outstanding. One thing I like about this specific Crimson is that vocalist BOZ BURRELL can go from a beautiful soft velvet voice (like on ISLANDS or FORMENTERA LADY) to a harsh black singer voice like on PEORIA or LADIES OF THE ROAD.

Thanks for making the concert available

Paulo Gonzalez Lires
