It’s been a long time since I heard the CGT and other than Hope (on The Sometimes God Hides Sampler) I have heard nothing by the RFSQ, so this recording has been for me a very, very pleasant discovery. Quite a few musical styles are covered: Several arrangements of JS Bach (the Ricercar from "The Musical Offering" is my favorite), Reworked pop classics (e.g., Walk Don’t Run - as good as the Penguin Cafe Orchestra’s!) Crafty-Type workouts (Kan Non Power) and a decent into Soundscape Hell (Threnody for Souls in Torment - which is actually much more accessible than its title or reputation led me to expect). Oh, and the sound quality is superb. Go on, buy it, it’s really excellent.
