13.36 DGM HQ. A grey day. The Solar Voyager continues its preparations for inter-planetary travel, while its operator aspires to the stars. The Echoplexes are superb looping beasts, ideal for guitars & useful for other things, with wonderful tricks & delights. But they don't deliver the sound quality of the Eventide 8000, which is a specific need for me on an orchestral Soundscape. So, with this version of the SV, the 8000 is most of it & the Echoplexes additions, rather than foundational. Various odd problems, wrinkles, explosions. The Assistant Engineer Returns…
Employment Prospects Are Good…
John told me a long time ago that he realised players weren't interested in reading manuals; and if he, John, were prepared to do so, he would always have work. John reads more manuals than I do & currently has more work offers than he can accept. 16.54 An afternoon run-through.
