      simply great February 8, 2010
Written by heavenly
I only hope the concerts will be packed and for myself, living in Aisia nowadays, I only hope that a full concert will be available for download at some point. I just got The Humans’ first album from last year and it is really good. Robert adds some really good live guitar, in a way he did e.g. with the LoG but usually never with KC. If you are burning to hear Fripp in a rock context again, then you should go for it, better run!!! But it would be unfair just to talk about Fripp, even without him--as on most of the album--it’s great music. It’s clearly Toyah, a bit of SAOTW and sometimes it reminds me of the smart and funny lyrics of Laurie Anderson. The music is raw and powerful, the basis are songs but with a lot of texture as you would expect it from e.g.-----KC. As for the song itself presented here, very, very good! Enjoy@!!

The last two pieces are worth the price of admission. The last piece has some nice soloing over an interesting throbbing bed of puissant tones. Even on the earlier pieces, it’s quite cool to hear the layering Read more

master(s) in the moment Mon., May 13, 2013

What really needs to be said: just listen to a master drummer in the moment--playing improvisatory and intuitively while at the same time reacting to Tony Levin’s bass (fretless?) underpinnings (who in turn, reacts to the percussive Read more

Great sound Mon., May 6, 2013

I love the Frippertronics of course, but the lecture and Q&A were excellent. A clear, cogent, honest explanation of his development as a guitarist, for one thing. The demo of the use of the fuzz box to overcome the "feebleness" Read more

It’s a curious phenomenom in modern artistic endeavor. In an age when performers and self-proclaimed artists alike take measures to "close the distance" between themselves and the audience, such efforts are often disingenuous and Read more
