This amazing show is a testament of the power of the Wetton/Cross/Bruford/Fripp lineup. Their music brought together power and beauty (an exotic variety of beauty, that is). This show has also stunning sound quality. This version of the song "21st Century Schizoid Man" (with new overdubs added by Eddie Jobson during postproduction, and absent here) was originally released on the album USA.

To whoever is thinking about getting this download, let me provide a small piece of advice: Get the Great Deceiver set instead. You won’t regret it. The nice people from DGM/Innet Knot had the wonderful idea to issue that long-out of print box set in two 2CD sets (a very nice budget release, by the way, and with new PJ Crook artwork) for us poor souls who missed the original deluxe box the first time around. This show covers the first CD plus a couple tracks from the second. You also get a lot more of the amazing music by this amazing quartet. Get that release instead. If you download this set instead, you will be so amazed at the quality, that you will have to purchase The Great Deceiver anyway.

Although not as powerful as they used to be, the band still keeps it’s destructive and fearsome force, presenting a surprisingly inventive set. Larks’ Tongues In Aspic - Part II begins by showing what Read more

It could be my ears or even better equipment, but I’d swear this sounds even better than the box set versions on TGD. As for performances, this is as superlative an effort among the four of them as any lineup Read more

Yes, both gig and The Great Deceiver boxed set are beyond excellent.  However, I’m buying this download so that after 16 years I can finally hear the end of Starless - I’ve never found a CD player that could play Read more
