I'm sorry for being entusiastic. January 29, 2006
Written by JaKckC
Hello all. I am the "guy in the T-shirt with a print of RF’s equipment set-up". I have already posted on Mr Fripps’ guest book with a full apology on behalf my photo taking. I was vaguely aware of Mr Fripps’ dislike of photography and should have known better - however I though a photo before the music had begun wouldn’t be of bother - this was all explained on the guest book entry. I now know different and as explained – when I was informed Mr Fripp has shaken his head I did not take any more photos (even though I never planned too while he was playing) However I would like to state here I have NO IDEA what a DAT recorder is, let alone use it, and did not record the show. It must have been my MP3 player or phone. I am very confused by this but it was certainly not I. Now, I am very new to Mr Fripps’ music compared to some people that visit this website and was rather excitable that day (blame it on my youth, 18 next month). It was my first time I have seen Mr Fripp live – and it wont be my last. I respect Mr Fripps’ beliefs and attitudes and now know “better” – even if personally I do not agree with them. We are all individuals – and I’m sorry for the unintentional disrespect shown. It will not happen in the future. You may keep notes as they are – even though I find such a harsh judgement rather unsettling and slightly embarrassing. I hope my review here is made available for others to read and AV Hall could be a bit more thoughtful before judging and printing false information. Of course the sounds scape was wonderful and I enjoyed every second of it – thank you for a wonderful night. .

interesting snippet! Mon., Jan 12, 2009

I felt almost sneaky listening to this, as it was obviously "not ready for prime time"; sounds as if TG was learning the timing. Still, great to hear and left me wanting a bit more, as the old showbiz adage Read more

Hooked on RadioPhonics Tue., Dec 9, 2008

I wish DGM would dump the silly star system -- how do you "rate" music like this? How many stars do you have? Give Radiophonics a thousand. This music is the dark to the WFC’s (11/30/2000) Read more

I found my thrill Tue., Dec 9, 2008

OK, SoundScapes are beautiful and deep, mysterious and melancholy, atmospheric and soul-stirring and all that. But this concert shows they can be buckets of fun, too, in their own way. Fripp’s got an odd sense of humor (or humour) and Read more

I downloaded this concert three months ago. After a dozen or so listens, I’m only beginning to be able to sort out and articulate my feelings about it. I’ve been trying to work my way into Soundscapes (or they’ve Read more

A peak soundscape performance Tue., Nov 25, 2008

While following the same general structure as the other soundscapes in the general time zone of this perfformance, this particular performance finds the heart of that structure and releases a fascinating interplay of tone and temperaments Read more

I Quite Like It Fri., Oct 31, 2008

Though apparently this is edited down, it’s music allowed to ebb and flow at some length, which is the quality I enjoy most in Fripp’s Soundscapes (and Frippertronics) work. Nice. Had I been at the Bath train station, I would Read more

It was a big surprise to hear the embryonic version of Level 5 in ’Thank You".
No doubt: the works for/with David Sylvian was seminal.
Thanks you.
