Cute song, great to hear this line-up again. November 11, 2008
Written by Spradlinn
If nothing else, this song is a pleasant reminder of what a great line-up the Bruford/Levin rhythm section with KC was. So refreshing to hear those familiar styles and sounds behind Fripp and Belew, again. BB and KC playing on auto-pilot or even warming up are still more amazing than 97% of the bands out there. Thank you Stormy for presenting this song - wasn’t sure I’d ever hear anything from that line-up again. This made my day! Indeed, the best KC for me is one that contains Bill Bruford as it’s drummer. I know, I have to ’get over it’. Hey, it’s MHO only! As Pres. Barack says, We ALL matter now! Which is not to say that I won’t be scratching and clawing to get first in line at the next Gunn/Mastellotto/Belew/Fripp show! And Pat’s playing on XTC’s "Oranges and Lemons" far surpasses most of what I’ve heard him play with KC. He nearly single-handedly made that album one of my Top10 of all time! BUY IT if you’ve never heard it, KC fans!! If you’re a drummer, you have to dig it! Pat rocks!

Talk about a booking mismatch. I was among the Crimheads who saw this gig. This was a hot show. After we were treated to the coordinated intensity we loved from this band, the idea of hearing ’take it easy’ was Read more

there’s beauty throughout this recording. it is (despite the geographic placement of its emerging) very pacific sounding. where the frippertronics can be coloured with smears of yellow and shards of red (crimson even), shades of blue abound in this Read more

Fine work by both performer and audio engineer. Very much appreciate the original loops which have a power apart from being vehicles for soloing.

Great sound quality and performance, with some interesting components to every loop. If you have any interest in vintage Fripptronics this is a good place to start (or continue).

There is something different in this set of Soundscapes from Nagoya. Something quite different than in the following shows from Osaka and Tokyo. Even the preceding Churchscapes. Probably it is the mournful tone of Time Stands Still so close in mood to Read more
