Robert Fripp’s performance was indeed a little winded by the Roland Guitar Synth this night. There are two tunable distortion synths plus a master tuner which are all rotary operated knobs and therefore very easy to disturb on a dark stage. The GR300 synthesizer is not midi controlled, certainly not in 1982 and my own unit has numerous other eccentricities. This was also my first KC gig some time after 3 evenings watching the incredible League of Gentlemen - at all of which Mr Fripp was most approachable. All in, King Crimson played fabulous music, with a slight flounder during Sheltering Sky. I had no regrets over pawning my twelve gear racing bike to afford the ticket. Now - Albert Hall 1995 is something else again.

This may be the best live Crim2K yet. A very focused and inspired set, flawlessly played with tremendous energy. There is a hilarious bit of audience banter to be heard right at the end of the running time, where a Read more

I give this 5 stars for it’s novelty value within RF’s body of work, because it has a delightfully "ordinary" sound--the kind of thing you’ve played yourself, jamming with friends. Of course,a little goes a long way and I wouldn’t Read more

Great show! I have heard several audience tapes/bootlegs of this show and it has always been one of my favorite KC performances of 1973. In general the recording sounds a little fast, much like the "Astral Navigation" Read more

I have this boot and love it. One of the all time great LTIA 1 performances and an overall stomper, corker, and howler of a show. I submitted my copy (with good-for-a-boot sound quality) to Read more

For anyone who appreciates the ’72-’74 live Crimson, this is a must-have performance, even if Fracture and/or Starless are not included in this set. From start to finish this is most definitely a "hot date" and not a Read more

Talk about a booking mismatch. I was among the Crimheads who saw this gig. This was a hot show. After we were treated to the coordinated intensity we loved from this band, the idea of hearing ’take it easy’ was Read more
