Cute song, great to hear this line-up again. November 11, 2008
Written by Spradlinn
If nothing else, this song is a pleasant reminder of what a great line-up the Bruford/Levin rhythm section with KC was. So refreshing to hear those familiar styles and sounds behind Fripp and Belew, again. BB and KC playing on auto-pilot or even warming up are still more amazing than 97% of the bands out there. Thank you Stormy for presenting this song - wasn’t sure I’d ever hear anything from that line-up again. This made my day! Indeed, the best KC for me is one that contains Bill Bruford as it’s drummer. I know, I have to ’get over it’. Hey, it’s MHO only! As Pres. Barack says, We ALL matter now! Which is not to say that I won’t be scratching and clawing to get first in line at the next Gunn/Mastellotto/Belew/Fripp show! And Pat’s playing on XTC’s "Oranges and Lemons" far surpasses most of what I’ve heard him play with KC. He nearly single-handedly made that album one of my Top10 of all time! BUY IT if you’ve never heard it, KC fans!! If you’re a drummer, you have to dig it! Pat rocks!

What a wonderful release !!. Reminds me of good times i 1979 : Glypotket, Copenhagen in May 1979.
I never get tired of Fripps solo output in 1978 - 80.

I love this live Frippertronics recording, thank you for making it available.
I have a very pedantic observation to contribute - that it is most likely WCMF, not WMCF, if I have my Upstate progressive rock radio stations of the Read more

Once again, DGMLive has struck gold with the unearthing of some excellent vintage Frippertronics loops from Mr. Robert Fripp - this time from the WMCF Studios in Rochester NY. There are many similarities between this and the official Frippertronics Read more

Excellent!!! It’s a kind of excitiment that refers back to the Fripp & Eno days but which you will not find in in the soundscapes of Fripp’s later days. I can see the development of soundcapes but I do prefer Read more

This is very interesting musically on its own, and likewise interesting historically in the context of Fripp solo work/performances. The guitar sound is not like Frippertronics or pre 75 Crimson. Sometimes it is like it is in League of Read more

I’ve always wondered why Earthbound was ever released . . . maybe Fripp was in a mood to commit rock ’n’ roll suicide? I agree that Mel Collins’ contributions are the highlight of this concert, but they only manage Read more

Among the more interesting parts of this recording are the shock treatments delivered with increasing intensity as firt Burrell, and then Fripp attempt an accomodation with the PA system. The last one leaves one hanging for a Read more
