I am a happy fan having this little arrangement downloaded some years ago from P@s homepage. This version available is a little bit shorter, as the "slowing down" main theme of red at the end of the piece was edited nearly to nil. Now there have been two different edits available, but I prefer the old one - I would have liked to have it in excellent sound quality as well.

I’m more familiar with the 1970 to 1974 version of King Crimson than I am with this line up but I bought this  CD based on what I read about the show and I must say I’m quite Read more

Sounds REALLLY good.   Like this version better w/o vocals.  Nothing against Belew as I’ve never understood the people who question his part in the band at all.  I just prefer instrumental music Read more

This piece has just the right amount of variation from the finished music track to make it essential. Perhaps this could have been performed on stage sans vocals for simplicity’s sake a la Read more

I say "surprisingly" not because I expect these fellows to underachieve, but because I’ve seen track listings very similar to this for many years now. So, with some of the other mixed reviews in mind, I felt a little trepidation Read more

what's essential?   Tue., May 26, 2009

Imho, i think that maybe every single musical excerpt of the entire KC body of work is essential for every KC fan and appreciator ... i remember that I thought exactly the same way back in late 1972 Read more

Firing up the engines in Argentina   Mon., May 25, 2009

What the setlist doesn’t show is that "One Time" through "Elephant Talk" is played without pause, as if one big medley -- very effective. The mix is typically strong on separation, drums and vocals, making it easy to appreciate Pat’s Read more
