      Interesting November 19, 2007
Written by microbunny
Thanks Mr.Monday ! Super interesting stuff here. Sounds like Wetton to me on Disengage, but hard to tell as for some odd reason he recorded his bass direct for most of the studio recordings back then. Odd because he had one of the best amp sounds I’ve ever heard, which is super evident on all of these recent live recordings from late 73 and 74 especially. While North Star is pretty straightforward, this Disengage thing is really strange and a worthwhile listen, worthy of the recent Exposure reissue had it been discovered in time I guess. Thanks again !

There was word floating around(Musician magazine?) that the ’81 Crim was possibly considering adding "Breathless" to their repetoire. Would that this was so.

Great karaoke version of "North Star", if only I was able to sing it...
You can also hum "She waits in the air, Matte Kudasai" over the first chord changes. :)

You gotta hear it to believe it Thu., Nov 15, 2007

I think the best thing that can be said about this interview is the "discotronic" album never happened!!! You have to listen just to hear Fripp discussing his plans for a disco album. (He also holds
forth on philosophy, music, life, creativity, and so on - I don’t think the hostess was quite ready for this!) Fortunately for music history disco had died its horrible death before Read more

Friction From Fripp Fri., Feb 9, 2007

This interview is heavily and not entirely unmildly laced with repeated references to ’Gurdjieffian Metaphysics’, which is not at all a secret aspect of Fripps ’way of life’, and was, I believe very fresh and Read more
