Musical Haiku's October 19, 2008

These three little pieces are like bright gems. The sound quality is amazing. You feel as though you are on the floor with the band. The tune up is the most sublime tune up Iíve ever heard, it shines. All three pieces play like musical Haikuís, unpolished and in the moment. I can see why they are included here by DGM. Once again thanks for a brief look behind what is in my opinion a classic album by Robert Fripp.

The poems are great, but the profanity just makes this. Iíd love to hear Robert recite some Kevin Bloody Wilson lyrics now.... Excellent find!

Absolutely brilliant!! This is ítrueí music...a soul calming and spiritually enlightening experience. Easy on the ear, the gliding musical transformations are both delicate and intricate. Thankyou Robert for this masterpiece.

...nor do I think it should be. A little too ípolishedí for my taste with lyrics a bit too obvious. Still, itís a pleasant listen. Read more

In terms of album releases, At the End of Time represents a transformation in Soundscapes. There is the melodic soloing along the lines of The Equatorial Stars; there is the fascination with rapid-fire (for Soundscapes) repetition that is hinted at Read more

Sometimes in Soundscapes Robert Fripp returns to the sounds which he was using in the past but which are still fascinating. It seems that some of the effects are still available in his equipment despite its constant change and Read more
