Nondistorted groovy grooves September 13, 2010
Written by DeVito
I’m puzzled by the previous reviewer’s complaint of "distortion in the drum beats" -- I don’t hear any distortion through my speakers (headphones either). Maybe the reviewer’s speakers were blown, or he just isn’t used to the sound of electronic drums. Anyway this is hypnotic stuff -- great beats, great atmospheres, and great guitar solos. I just replaced my old mp3 files with FLACs and it sounds even better (and still no distortion). Essential. --Chris DeVito

one of the better ProjeKct releases Tue., Dec 5, 2006

This is one of the better ProjeKct releases. I have never been able to fully appreciate Fripp’s playing in recent years with KC or the ProjeKcts until this release. The stripped down setting makes all of his soloing plus the Soundscapes Read more

I was at the NYC show, and I really enjoyed the performance. This recording, naturally, does not disappoint. It’s been a long time since we’ve heard Robert soloing, at least in a more traditional manner, so that’s the real Read more

Music Quite Enjoyable, Everywhere Sat., Dec 2, 2006

These tracks are a great addition, and a treat. Belew’s playing is supportive, funky and blessedly open, leaving plenty of space for the layers of Frippification. As the chances of P6 venturing to Minneapolis are probably marginal (although hope springs Read more
