These soundscapes are something different. While many themes from the current series (December Suites, Doing Dixie, and Cathedral Tours) are apparent in them, there is a quality to these that makes them a departure from those. I can’t find the correct adjective, but the words "darker" and "ominous" came up for me, though totally without the negative connotations. While some of the sounds of "Time Stands Still" and "At the End of Time" will be familiar, they are sketches on a different background, and the wonderful "Evensong Coda" fades out in recursive waves suggestive of fading light, arriving at a place hinted at in some of Fripp/Eno’s "Evening Star" album. I echo the "Highly Recommended."
