One by one I am slowly evaluating each recording/performance of this double trio tour. First, THANKS so much for offering this material. I never got the chance to hear this incarnation live. This being the first one I have heard out of this series (skipping right to the second performance), the sound is still in work, but solid performances. This mix definitely needs some eq help, and Belew’s guitar is prominent for most of the first several cuts. Also, a bonus, backing vocals are actually audible!! Even as familiar as I feel I am with this material, I am delightfully surprised. As I highly enjoy each KC recording, these live recordings capture so much more of the electricity between artists. This doesn’t disappoint.
