Just was one of the lucky guys who has been here. KC in perfect condition. The superb Double Trio. They were playing with a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of energy. This soundboard recording is awful. I’m glad its available now. I wish u were there to see it...I DID !!!!

This is not your mother’s KC! A looser set that starts off a little wobbly on Discipline, but roars into action thereafter. Maybe it’s just the recording, but the team gooses any number of the tracks, improving as the spirit moves them, and to hear Levin’s harmonies more prominently in the mix is a nice dimension. It just brings home to me the title of that old Neil Young tune, "What Might Have Been." What a terrific kick off to the New Year! Many thanks.

Not a review, only a remark. The venue in The Hague/ Den Haag (not Den Hague) is called Congresgebouw. I was there in 1995 and enjoyed every minute of KC’s show.

In the words of Homer Simpson, "Woo-hoo! IN YOUR FACE!"
In the words of Adrian Belew, "I Like It!"
One Time creates a beautiful bittersweet atmosphere, lulling you into a contemplative meditation. For me time stood still.  Vroom delivered the same invigorating gust I remember from the first time I heard it 12 years ago. The Frippcentricity of the mix is no problem-his playing on this justifies the exposure. In fact the band as a whole has developed an easy familiarity which allows for a lot of little experiments. Several versions here seem to me to be definitive readings-SSEDD for example.
