Just gorgeous. I love Anne Laplantine’s work for similar reasons as I adore this, but of course her work leverages on digital cut-ups, whereas this just spills out, all in the moment, making it all the more perfect. Thank you Mr. Fripp.

Great sound   Mon., May 6, 2013

I love the Frippertronics of course, but the lecture and Q&A were excellent. A clear, cogent, honest explanation of his development as a guitarist, for one thing. The demo of the use of the fuzz box to overcome the "feebleness" Read more

Unknown II is monstrous! Around the 13 minute mark it sounds like a monster screaming for food! (at least that’s the kind of image it invokes for me). Unknown III and IV are also both very Read more

Pretty sure the german word "Schallplatten" translates into "Record Store" in English. I think the proper name of this venue should be "Govi Schallplatten" or "Govi Record Store". Fantastic job with the bootleg synchronization and wonderful to Read more

Long Phrases   Sat., Oct 20, 2012

Absolutely stunning pieces here! Especially notable are some unusually long phrases entered directly into the loops lasting almost the full repeat duration which make for some truly notable segments. Music for Palaces II contains a Read more

Bleeping Premiere   Fri., Oct 19, 2012

This wonderful recording is a significant one. Music for Journalists II is the earliest known appearance of the infamous "bleeping" element of Frippertronics. Perhaps this is where he picked up the on/off switch that he used subsequently or he Read more

Unlikely Munich 22 May 1979   Thu., Oct 18, 2012

An excellent recording, however, this is unlikely the tape from Munich 22 May 1979 because "Unknown I" sounds like "1983" off "God Save the Queen", "Unknown II" sounds like the track "God Save the Queen" Read more
