Ever since the Robert Fripp String Quintet’s "Live In Japan" was released on VHS, I was hoping for a CD soundtrack to shortly follow. Well, it’s been a long time coming but absolutely worth the wait nearly 15 years later. Hearing the unedited version of this concert is an absolute revelation. Fripp, Gunn and The California Guitar Trio are at the top of their game here. Musically, it’s just plain fabulous. Thanks again to DGMLive for another winner. Now if we can get this concert released on DVD......
