a sublime evening in Pisa September 23, 2012

I was at this gig ! An excellent evening... some of my memories are: the California Guitar Trio opened the show and were terrific. Crimson played 2 great sets with great panache including Schizoid Man, which i didn’t know then was a rarity live. Lucky! Tony Levin stole the show with his spot on bass lines and Bill looked happy. I remember the moon rose during the 2nd set behind the band it was perfect At the curtain called Adrian and the others waved and smiled at the audience while Fripp stood in shadow motionless with his hands on his guitar in front of him like it was a sword in the ground and he was a knight standing his ground. "None shall pass.." Afterwards the soundscapes echoed round the square and were just magical. I’m not sure I’ve said enough about the music, but it was great and the recording is excellent for a soundboard. Thanks guys! I never thought I’d get a chance to relive that night! For me it was sublime!
