Field Music Feel The KC Vibe
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Wed., Nov 24, 2010
My thanks to tomfish for alerting us to a thread at MOJO in which Field Music extol the virtues of KC. He writes "Please add one more entry to the recent coming outs of unashamed admissions of KC loving by indie and mainstream artists. This
time, the great indie pop band Field Music (check also their sister
band The Week That Was) speak of their love of Crimson among others in
the Mojo online edition."

Virtual Shirt
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Wed., Nov 24, 2010
My thanks to Stahlhofen for sending in this oddity. He writes "Hey there, due to a broken clavicle I had too much time to
spend lately and so I decided to check out "Second Life". I found this
nice looking avatar wearing a t-shirt with a well known face on it.
I wonder if they pay any royalties for using it?"

A Winner Writes...
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Mon., Nov 22, 2010
My thanks to Robert Meyer for sending me this picture of himself with his prize - Reivers of the Heart by the Matt Seattle Band.
Robert writes: "I waited two days for the clouds to break to create decent light for a
better photo, and well, the clouds broke, but in the wrong way As you
can see from the attached image set in my front yard, there will be no
mountain photos. I'm not that brave.
Quick Thoughts on the CD: I purchased Out of the Flames a few years ago, and thoroughly enjoy it on a regular basis. Reivers of the Heart
took about 30 seconds to get used to, because the supporting
instrumentation is different. However, once I figured out what the aural
difference was, I was in a position to listen to the CD over and over
again. The best way for me to explain is that Out of the
Flames feels like it's an album for a private family celebration, while Reivers of the Heart
gives you that exhilarating sensation that you're exploring the world
of a cosmopolitan street market (Celtic? Middle-Eastern?) on a Saturday
morning.
Again, thank you for the giveaway contest and the chance to expand my horizons in a wonderful direction."
Don't forget folks you can buy your very own copy of the latest album from Matt directly from the man himself right here.
