And The Winner Is...
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Tue., Apr 5, 2011
Congratulations to Jon Lyne of Sheffield who told me that the first album by Mister Mister was called I Wear The Face. As a result of being chosen at random for a bulging postbag, Jon gets the wear the T-shirt and play the CD by Pat's pre-Crimso group, Mister Mister.

3D Hoax A Hoot
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Sat., Apr 2, 2011
Yesterday's April 1st tomfoolery on Radio 4's flagship news programme about Simon Heyworth and Robert Fripp conducting experiments into 3D radio gets a few mentions here and there. The Guardian described Simon and Robert as "the Tubular Bells sound engineers" and praised (if that's the right term) the item for its "plausible dullness". Elsewhere, STV mentioned it in dispatches, and Prefix ran a piece about what it describes as "The BBC, as usual, rides to the rescue, putting their own elegant touch on a douchey American tradition."

Ozzy On Crimso
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Fri., Apr 1, 2011
The new issue of Classic Rock magazine features 100 songwriters as chosen & written about by 100 other songwriters. Ozzy Osborne has this to say about KC. “King Crimson were out there, man. No one else sounded like them back then, and no one has sounded like them since. They had all this great musicianship, but there was a fuckin’ nasty edge. I covered 21st Century Schizoid Man. That’s me in a fuckin’ nutshell.”

Mister Mastelotto's Mr. Mr. Giveaway
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Thu., Mar 31, 2011
We have a copy of the recently released fourth album by Pat Mastelotto's pre-Crim band, Mr Mr to giveaway. Although recorded in 1990, the album entitled Pull was unreleased after their then record company decided the band was getting too artsy and removed from the kind of platinum-spawning hit sounds of Kyrie and Broken Wings.
Not only do we have a copy of the album but there's also one XL sized T-shirt (as seen here), both waiting to find a new home. All you have to do tell me the name of the very first album released by the band.
Pop your answer and your postal address in an email to competitions@dgmlive.com headed MISTER. The winner of the CD and T-shirt will be announced on Tuesday 5th April.
