My thanks to World Leader Symes who tells me "In this month's Q magazine there is an
interview with Graham Coxon, the guitarist with Blur. I think the
article is called The Soundtrack of My Life. He is holding a copy of the
album cover (vinyl!) for Court and this is what he says:
Q: What album do never tire of hearing?
King Crimson’s In The Court Of The Crimson King is an album I can become pretty obsessed with. I can’t listen to it just once, I have to listen to it again. Immediately. It has really pretty, fairy sort of songs on it and quite big ones. It’s just so exciting. It’s just my favourite things: organs, drums and guitars all going mental!

Robert Fripp June 2nd 2006 Pershore Abbey
A beguiling soundscapes concert. Leakstev says "the music swirls and washes back and forth and then all of a sudden you
can feel it in the hairs on the back of your neck, in the sudden rush of
energy through your body. something came in the door."
King Crimson June 6th 1974 Tarrant County Convention Centre, Texas
A lovingly restored bootleg thanks to Mister Stormy, containing a particularly savage version of The Talking Drum. Firebexar who was at the concert observes "I vividly recall
that when "Lament" came to its abrupt end, there was a palpable pause in
the southern audience, not knowing whether to applaud or wait to make
sure the song was actually finished."

A stonking gig and no mistake! Chipster61 describes this as "a must-have show" going on to note "One of the more complete and best sounding Dr. Diamonds on tape.
This is Wettons song and he does an amazing job belting out the lyrics
with its varied dynamics of fast and slow delivery. Robert
serves up a delicious solo in the middle of Larks’, Pt. I. This whole
recording is very nearly soundboard quality as evidenced by the soft
spaces afforded the section of Cross/Bruford interplay toward the end of
the song. Very little interruption/participation, by this respectful
audience."

Some vintage Frippertronics to tickle your ear buds. Listener
Frippouille has this to say about it "The most beautiful Frippertronics I
have ever heard. Extraterrestrial
music from Ailleurs... A great trip, going from unsettling strangeness
to heavenly meditative music to exhilarating moments of absolute satanic
darkness that lead to rapturous joy, no less...Strange, astounding,
mystical, poignant. Pure genius. A masterpiece."

The Double Duo do their thing to the crowd in Genova. Massimo was especially pleased with this one.

A particularly good outing from the 80s incarnation of the band here. As Anonymous observes "This show is the true spirit of the 1984 King Crimson with all his strong and weak points, full of energy, rhythm and power.
In
first place, the violent, brutal and powerful "Entry Of The Crims", an
altered, modified and energyc version of "No Warning" but with more
ear-busting sense, leading in a perfect and astonishing "Larks’ Tongues
In Aspic - Part III" and a superb "Thela Hun Ginjeet". As noted, this
setlist is almost the same as on "Absent Lovers", except for a
different positioning of "Frame By Frame" and the addition of a
particular and amazing version of "The Sheltering Sky". This show is truly a must-have and a essential bootleg to all Crimson fan."

More double Duo fun in Spain...
Jorge who was at the gig recalls "The highlights for me were Adrian’s solo Three of a Perfect Pair, Thrush
and Heroes. This last piece sent chills down my spine again and
again. They sounded like a machine gun, with Fripp’s guitar shifting
back, forth and sideways in an incredibly loose way! No wonder people
wanted more after those encores!"
