St Vincent has a new album out and is once again causing her to be compared to Robert Fripp, (or Dapper Dan as she refers to Chuckles) in this interview.  


Sound & Vision In Norwich

Maestro Bill Bruford

This just in via BB: The Musicians Union in conjunction with Classic Rock magazine is offering the classic rock 'Maestro Award'. Bill is one of five musicians honoured to be nominated for the award, the others being Don Airey (kbds), Mike Rutherford (gtr), Phil Manzanera (gtr), and Steve Winwood (kbds). He could use your vote! The winner will receive their award at London's Roundhouse on 9 November 2011. You need to be a UK Musicians Union member to participate, and members should log on to www.themu.org for all details. Voting will close at midnight on Sunday, 2nd October 2011. Vote Bill!

Steve Wilson's Grace For Drowning

Steven Wilson's new album, Grace For Drowning, is released on Monday.
One track, Raider II has been inspired by Steven's work on the King Crimson back catalogue and in particular, Lizard. You can hear an eight minute edit of the 23 minute piece by checking out the Grace For Drowning website.



Containing two full length albums, it features guest appearances from Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto and Trey Gunn from KC. Theo Travis, Markus Reuter and many other top names also make significant contributions to the release. You can check out my take on the album over on the blog.
