Frippertronics Bundle
:: Posted by David Singleton on Thu., Oct 27, 2011
The Frippertronics Tour Bundle is alive and well - and you really do get twelve shows not ten.
When the website was built, the "man with the specifications" (yes, I think that would be me) did not plan for two shows by the same artist on the same day (duh!), and so these multiple shows appear in mysterious ways. If you click forwards through the tour, you see the Evening Shows, and if you click backwards through the tour, you see the Afternoon Shows. Our very own version of a hidden track.
But if you buy the bundle, you definitely get all of them!

Frippertronics Tour Bundle Problem
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Thu., Oct 27, 2011
A number of folks have written in to point out that there are in fact 12 not 10 shows available in the bundle - clearly this Sod Smite character has cloth eyes as well as ears! Seriously though, there’s a coding glitch in the backend of the site which is making the or the afternoon and evening shows on August 1st and 2nd difficult to spot for folks. Alex and Eric are working on putting that right. We note also that cover art is also missing for the afternoon show of August 1st and so Hugh will put that right. Thanks for your patience. Life was so much easier with just a guitar and two revoxes!

Under The Influence...
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Tue., Oct 25, 2011
Her name is Charlene Soraia and her debut album out next month is called Moonchild. According to this piece she cites Robert Fripp as one of her influences and, if you read on, she apparently experiences cyclothymic moods!

1981 Frippetronics Tour Bundle Available
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Mon., Oct 24, 2011
There are 10 Frippertronic gigs bundled together for just $45 Flac or $35 MP3. These consist of Fripp's residency at the Washington Square Church and Inroads, both in New York during 1981. The bundle starts on 27th July and ends with 7th August.
For folks who've previously downloaded all five gigs from this run prior to the whole bundle going live, we are offering you a free download of your choice. Full concerts have been lovingly and painstakingly restored by Alex Mundy using the original reels and bootleg sources of the soloing.
