Slow Electric Giveaway
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Thu., Nov 10, 2011
We’ve got a copy of the Slow Electric debut album to giveaway. The album features a collaboration between Tim Bowness and Pete Chilvers and Estonian duo UMA (Aleksei Saks and Robert Jurjendal) with contributions on bass and stick from Tony Levin.
All you need to do to get this album is tell me the name of the person who mixed and mastered the album. In case you’re not sure you can find a rather big clue to that person’s identity on the Slow Electric page at Burning Shed where you’ll also be able to hear a track and watch a video.
Once you’ve got the name send the answer, along with a postal address, to competitions@dgmlive.com with Slow Electric as the header. The winner whose name will be picked from the fickle fedora of fate will be announced on Tuesday 15th November.
You can read Tim Bowness’s recently updated diary where he talks about the album, check out UMA’s website and read my review of the album over on the blog.

My thanks to ironageuk for sending me this link to a piece in the Huffington Post in which the comments section references RF's recent postings on the shifts in business and the prevailing culture. ironageujk writes "The piece itself details the links between recent events ranging from
the Occupy London Stock Exchange camp at St Pauls, the floods in
Thailand and the upcoming Durban Climate Change summit - the stated
connection? The expectation of power and wealth possessors that the
majority will continue to pick up the tab for them."
