And The Winner Is...
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Mon., Mar 26, 2012

Congratulations to Rick Mascarini of Milford Ohio. His name was picked out of The fickle fedora of fate and he wins a signed copy of Pat's Recidivate CD. You'll recall we asked folks to name that track from the album that included Robert's tale of the psychedelic trousers - it was (all together now) Brutal Ecstasy (with fuzzbox). Many thanks to everyone who took part. Keep your eyes peeled for another great giveaway later this week.

What Goes Around Comes Around...Again
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Sun., Feb 21, 2016
The ever-churning newsround that is social media means that every now and then some items from the past get thrown to the surface. One of these is a reminder of the "lost" remake of Jean Luc Godard's Alphaville, that was to have starred Debbie Harry and Robert Fripp, here eulogised by the sometimes hilariously misinformed  Dangerous Minds website.

Elsewhere, and previously newsed on another occasion, comes this take on Fripp recording Heroes with Bowie.

Finally, John Dilberto's 1987 interview with Fripp for Electronic Musician, comes back around, discussing, appropriately enough, Frippertronics and much else besides.

Keith Tippett, who contributed to In The Wake Of Poseidon, Lizard and Islands, has a new solo album out.

Keith's very excited about the release which was recorded live in Piacenza, Italy, he told me yesterday. "It was in a marvelous recital room and there was a full twenty seconds of silence at the end of the piece. It was wonderful." You can get the limited edition album here.
