And The Winner Is...
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Mon., Mar 26, 2012

Congratulations to Rick Mascarini of Milford Ohio. His name was picked out of The fickle fedora of fate and he wins a signed copy of Pat's Recidivate CD. You'll recall we asked folks to name that track from the album that included Robert's tale of the psychedelic trousers - it was (all together now) Brutal Ecstasy (with fuzzbox). Many thanks to everyone who took part. Keep your eyes peeled for another great giveaway later this week.

#KC2014 - NYC Reviewed
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Sat., Sep 20, 2014
The latest incarnation of King Crimson gets the thumbs up from the New York Times’ Jon Pareles, who observes "as cerebral as King Crimson’s music is, with its mandatory virtuosity and its mathematical systems within systems, what comes across first and last is fury." Read the whole review here.

Elsewhere, The Day thought  "The songs built and evoked a twirling, brooding, almost suffocating sense of anguish, dark power, seething energy and frenetic tension that, in a sum-is-greater-than-the-parts context, gradually produced a crescendo effect of wonder and awe." Read it all here.
