| Pat Mastelotto Recidivate Competition |
 |
| :: Posted by Sid Smith on Tue., Mar 20, 2012 |
Pat Mastelotto has a new double album out which gathers together some of his favourite collaborations with artists including Steven Wilson, Roebrt Fripp, Tony Levin, Trey Gunn, Markus Reuter and many more.
Recidivate is available from 7dmedia and you can find out more about the album there.
We have a copy of the album signed by Pat to give away. In order to win this fabbo item all you have to do is tell me the name of the track from Recidivate in which Robert Fripp recounts the tale of the psychedelic trousers. If that's momentarily slipped your mind you might find a clue on this page.
Send your answer in an email to competitions@dgmlive.com with PAT CD in the header. The winner will be announced on Sunday 25th March. You can check out this review of Recidivate at Seattle pi and my take on the album over on the blog.

Stones At Hyde Park
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Thu., Apr 4, 2013
The world of rock was, er, rocked to its foundations with the news that they are playing Hyde Park once again. The original gig in 1969 was of course a tremendous boost to a fledgling King Crimson who wowed the vast crowd with the likes of 21st Century Schizoid Man which, in the words of Ed Vulliamy, "threatened to blow the Stones offstage."

Larks' Tats...
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Wed., Mar 27, 2013
My thanks to Mark Ferraro for sending these pictures of his pal Vinny Carriero of East Meadow.
Mark writes "Vinny and I have been sharing and experiencing "Crimson moments"
together for decades. He had his LTIA tatoo done in 1982, possibly just
prior to seeing Crimson live at Pier 82 in NYC. When asked how he
decided to get a KC tatoo Vinny states that "I always wanted a tatoo and
the first thing that scorched my brain was the LTIA album art'".
He continued to tell me that his first visit to a tatoo parlour to watch a cousin get his resulted in himself passing out. However he was determined to wear his heart on his sleeve(no pun intended) chuckles ....for the rest of his life so he sucked it up and went right back to the parlour.
Cheers, Mark. Any more tat takes out there?
