We have a copy of the new album by Henry Fool to give away to one lucky winner.

The album, Men Singing, was released last month and features (amongst others) Henry Fool founder Tim Bowness and special guest Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music.

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning this album is tell me the name of Tim's regular musical partner in, and co-founder of, No Man.

Once you've got the answer pop it, and your postal address, in an email to competitions@dgmlive.com headed HENRY FOOL. The lucky winner will be announced on Monday 20th May.

You can listen to a sampler of the album here, and listen to an interview with Tim Bowness as well as reading my take on Men Singing.

The Trouble With Experience
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Wed., May 15, 2013
My thanks to djcub00 for the following item. djcub00 writes "Here is a letter Noel Redding wrote to the editor of Guitar Player Magazine detailing his frustrations with the industry back in 1989. It seems like Fripp and company can relate to the sad practices of the music industry, even for the bandmate of the most influential guitarist in popular music.

Vicar Dolby Launch
:: Posted by David S on Mon., May 13, 2013

It has taken a while for news of the Vicar launch at Dolby HQ in London to find it’s way onto these pages - a mixture of the absence of The Voice that is Sidney Smith and my own ineptitude.

A fabulous event - Dolby were kind enough to announce The Vicar Songbook as a perfect example of true HD surround sound and will be using it as their demonstration music. It certainly sounded wondrous in their Ray Dolby Theatre.

Thanks to Jonathan Jowitt (JJ) at Dolby, Neil Wilkes at Opus Productions and all who attended, including David Revelle, the worthy winner from DGMLive...

And a certain Robert Fripp, seen here with the two mighty men from IE music, David Enthoven and...um...Tim Clark (it is possible that he sent someone more beautiful in his place).

Bowie & Fripp
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Mon., May 13, 2013
Media hussy that he is, Robert Fripp is once again set to appear on prime time TV. This time he’s going to be one of the talking heads that will be popping up in BBC TV’s David Bowie documentary, Five Years which airs on Saturday 25th May. Diary readers will recall RF mentioning filming taking place on 15th March 2013. TV reviewer Boyd Hilton tweeted at the weekend: David Bowie: Five Years on BBC2, Sat, May 25 is not to be missed. The best Bowie documentary ever. Best contributions: Robert Fripp #Bowie
