Peter Sinfield Heart Attack
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Thu., Oct 17, 2013
A update on Peter Sinfield's Facebook page reveals the King Crimson lyricist has recently had a heart attack. It reads "Dear Followers, we have been patiently awaiting the return of Peter here at Song Soup on Sea for the past fortnight, following a non-fatal heart-attack from which he is recovering well in the local hospital. Any well wishes will be passed on and he looks forward to returning home shortly. And following the confusion below [a reference to a previous posting] , yes, Peter's birthday is 27th December shortly after Christmas, throughout which we are recently thrilled to learn 'I Believe in Father Christmas' will be in a high street supermarket advert in the UK. With love from the Poet's garden"

My thanks to Antonion for bringing the latest novel by Dave Eggers to our attention. Ant notices the resemblance to a certain King Crimson album cover, albeit in a highly stylised form and also has spotted this sentence in the book...

"He’d given her speeches about organically sourced beef, about the early work of King Crimson, and each time it started with this deep breath, a breath that said Settle in, this will take a while and it will blow you mind."
