Wetton & Palmer-James
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Thu., Mar 20, 2014
Two albums featuring John Wetton and Richard-Palmer James are just about to re-issued. Jack Knife's I Wish You Would hails from 1979, a one-off project recorded between bouts with UK.  Monkey Business was originally released in 1997 and features a scrapbook of songs and musical sketches penned by Wetton and Palmer-James alongside re-recordings of Crimson tunes Doctor Diamond and Starless. You can find out more here. More up to date arisings for John can be found here where he discusses the new Asia album.

League Of Gentlemen Tour Bundle
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Tue., Mar 18, 2014
If you're a fan of The League Of Gentlemen (and you should be) then there's a treat for you in the shape of a 17-date tour bundle for just $72.00 (FLAC) or $55(MP3). The European tour begins on May 2nd in Eindhoven and ends on May 24 in Hamburg. If you've previously purchased any three of the four shows that were already on the site but want to get the bundle then you'll be entitled one free show of your choice.

If you only want one show out of this toe-tappin' bundle then I'd suggest you point your ears in the direction of the band's incendiary gig at Nuremburg.

Band Of Brothers
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Tue., Mar 18, 2014
When he's not out on the road Tony Levin is working on an album with his keyboard playing brother Pete. The jazz-orientated project is known as The Levin Brothers and you can read a bit about it on Pete's website. Meanwhile, Tony has been sent a TV clip of his younger self playing as a member of The Jazz Brothers circa 1966. Check it out on Tony's March 13th update. My thanks to davidly for that last heads-up

Anti-Copyright Anarchy
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Tue., Mar 18, 2014
My thanks to Dr Erock who writes "A TV writer lays it all out: His language is less polished than RF’s. But if you wish to be an ethical listener or watcher you should be as adamant against fake-badass anti-copyright lingo being dished by people out to make a bundle from your eyeballs and clicks. And sometimes a few F-bombs have to be slung." Read Sons Of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter's take on Google's anti-copyright stance here.

Crimson ProjeKCt's London Show
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Thu., Mar 13, 2014
There was a bit of a works outing for some of the DGM team who took a trip up to London to see Crimson ProjeKCt perform at London's O2 Sheperd's Bush Empire Theatre last night.

Pictured below, we see three drummers sandwiched together backstage: Tobias Ralph, Mister Stormy, and Pat Mastelotto.

Of the gig itself, Mister Stormy notes "It was good fun, everyone on stage was really enjoying themselves, and playing the pieces with a slight twists and interpretation. I liked the way they broke up the set, playing firstly as a six piece, starting with B’BOOM into THRAK, quite a brave start! Then down to the Power trio and a couple of their numbers followed by a KC Piece, then Stick Men, playing a couple of their pieces, then playing Larks II, and as they got to the solo, Adrian rejoined the stage, as did Julie and Tobias. This was the theme for the evening, mixing the acts up, and keeping the pace going, a real celebration of King Crimson!"

Tony Levin has also updated his website to include a set of pictures from London.

Judy's Lost & Found
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Mon., Mar 10, 2014
Judy Dyble contributed vocals to a track by Joxfield ProjeX (self-described as "an irrational dynamic duo producing avant-whatever music") back in 2007. Thought to be lost, it has recently resurfaced and you can listen to it here
