A wonderful Frippertronics concert from 1981 is available for download. Once again Alex Mundy has synched up the soloing to the original tape loops and recreated one of the most powerful Frippertronics concerts yet.

Aside from getting married recently, Pat Mastelotto has also been busy appearing on various projects of one kind or another. First up, his work appears on a new triple album by Swedish electronica outfit, Joxfield ProjeX. You can find out more about the album by visiting their website.

Elsewhere, Pat also appears on a new album by Tim Motzer and Markus Reuter called Descending. Theo Travis also makes a guest appearance on the album as does pedal-steel supremo, BJ Cole. You can find out more about the album here and read my review of the record over on the blog.

My thanks to Stefano Fasti for not only keeping an eye on the Italian press for DGMLive but contributing to it as well. Stefano writes "The Italian Site "Storia della Musica" (History of Music) has just published my review on the Travis & Fripp live album.  If you can read Italian, you can read it here. This is a great moment for Fripp on Italian press. At page 11 of Italian (Roman) magazine "Metromorfosi", you’ll find another interesting article, promoting the next concerts of duo Travis & Fripp in Rome. Again if you can read Italian.

The important Italian magazine BlowUp in its November issue has a ten-page retrospective article about King Crimson. This is the cover of the current issue But no mention about the Travis & Fripp concert in Rome. Sigh."
