Congratulations to Will Cruttenden in the UK who has won this week's dgmlive giveaway. Will's answer to the question how many Musical Guides To King Crimson Andrew has published in book format to date (it's three by the way) was picked at random from the fickle fedora of fate. For that he gets to enjoy Andrew Keeling's In The Shadow Vol 2 and a copy of The Wine Of Silence. Thanks to everyone who took part and stay tuned for another great giveaway soon!

App Builder needed.
:: Posted by David S on Fri., Feb 22, 2013
Many years ago, before this current site existed, The Vicar put an appeal for a web builder in his diary – and Eric Anderson, heroic architect of DGMLive, responded. The next step now beckons: the launch of Apps. We therefore begin a similar search for the right App builder.
We have been approached by several App builders in the past whose driver is primarily professional. Anyone with a familiarity with King Crimson, The Vicar or DGM will know that the professional impulse alone will not carry you to success here. DGM needs an App builder, one who is familiar with the ethos of DGM, who would like to undertake an honourable piece of good work, hard and fun, for which they will receive almost nothing, and perhaps a pitiful something eventually. If this rings your bell, please be in touch (dgm@dgmlive.com)

Wine Of Silence Giveaway
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Thu., Feb 21, 2013
There's an opportunity to grab yourself a free copy of Robert Fripp's orchestral soundscapes album The Wine Of Silence in the latest DGMLive giveaway. As if that wasn't enough, the lucky winner will also receive a copy of Andrew Keeling's new book, In The Shadow Vol 2.
All you have to do to get your hands on this wonderful two-for-one prize is to tell me how many Musical Guides To King Crimson Andrew has published in book format to date. If you're not sure you can find a clue here.
Send your answer in an email marked WINE to competitions@dgmlive.com. The winner will be plucked from the fickle fedora of fate on Wednesday 27th February. You can read All About Jazz's view of the recording here and take a peek at my take on The Wine Of Silence over on the blog.

Larks' Tongues Listening Party
:: Posted by Sid Smith on Thu., Feb 21, 2013
DGM Live's webmaster-in-chief, Eric, is holding a listening party in honour of LTIA.
Eric writes: "What is your first and/or endearing memory of Larks’ Tongues in Aspic? Share it with the world!
I’m
hosting a private party on Saturday, March 23 celebrating the 40th
anniversary release of Larks’ Tongues in Aspic. It will be a grand
affair and the exciting part is that most of the guests have never heard
this album.
So there is an added sense of danger!
In
the run-up to the event I’m inviting folks of a Crimson persuasion to
contribute their memories of this remarkable album and period in
Crim-history to the following tumblr blog.
Thanks in advance for sharing!
Sincerely,
Eric the Wonder Bee
PS, if you live in Oregon and are interested in attending the event, use the following link to request an invite. " If anyone else is hosting a celebratory listening party for LTIA please let us know and we'll give you a shout-out.
