Broadchalke Slow Time
As has been noted many times on these diary pages, there are times when, despite all the talk of a wired, connected world, deepest, darkest Wiltshire seems more than a little disconnected. Not the lack of mobile phone coverage, nor even the dial up speeds of internet connection. No, the small problem of timezones. All day waiting for emails from Amazon and iTunes on PMT, as Punk calls it, while we lurk on BST (Broadchalke Slow Time). A day of waiting and then a frenzy of activity just as everyone else is going home. Hey Ho! And having received the emails, and sent a response, we then wait until tomorrow morning to get a reply. A conversation can take weeks. Not unlike the conversations downstairs in the shop. We may, or may not, get to set a release date in the coming days. Meanwhile - yes - a drummer joke.
