Monasterio Notra Senora De Los Angeles, Monjas Dominicas, Sant Cugat, Spain.
A question worth asking is born in experience and driven by necessity.
08.45 Morning sitting at 07.15.
Breakfast at 08.00.
As various artefacts were dropped loudly on tables & the floor, I noticed no inner jump. I commented on this to Dr. Mike: must be becoming more relaxed.
Comments on our work of yesterday evening, and on fun & counting. And then some fun & counting at the breakfast tables.
Our work called for the morning.
09.21 The faithful are arriving…
11.42 Meeting with the Beginner’s Group at 10.15.
Beginning with circulating, then to counting exercises & having fun such as at breakfast. To elementary thrakking in two groups, each changing after 14 bars of 5 & 10 bars of 7. The final circulation presented a changing quality of presence within the Circle.
14.11 T’ai Chi in the Mosquito Grove at 12.30. It is rare that I am so cold it is painful, with hands perishing. This is the kind of cold I remember from waiting at the ‘bus stop by the Merley Arms for the ‘bus to Broadstone Primary School c. 1953, wearing mittens knitted by St .Edith; the wool little guard against ripping cold.
Lunch at 13.00 with visitors, including a little dribbling person.
18.13 Tea at 16.00 with tasty crepes.
Six personal meetings beginning at 16.30. The overall sense: upcoming change & several major life changes / redirections of a positive fashion.
22.19 T’ai Chi at 18.30.
Dinner at 19.00.
Our work for the evening- if the world were perfect! - was called: House Of Guitars at 21.00.
Two Circles, 10 on the inner, 20 in the outer.
When ready, please begin.
Three spontaneous eruptions, c. 15 minutes, c. 15 minutes, c. 35 minutes.
The first two pieces were strong & varied, the second particularly appealing to me. The last was energetic and rhythmic, tending towards the vulgar continuous loud thrumming & strumming that causes me such distress. Nevertheless, energetic with moments.
For the third night on a Beginners’ Course, remarkable.
