Public speaking:: Posted by WilliamC on September 04, 2007

I’d be curious to know if photography would kill the spirit of a public speaking performance the way it does a musical performance.

A flash killed the PRS John Lennon Memorial Lecture – Discipline & The Act of Music - at York University in 2000. Astonishing but true, and I was not only person to feel this.

What's this?:: Posted by BeavisofNazareth on September 04, 2007

Spotted in a recent photographic entry: What’s this? Princess Margaret, hiding in RF’s Garden?

Close, but wrong garden. I did attend a garden party at which Princess Margaret was also a guest. This was at Arundells, the then home of Sir Edward Heath in Salisbury Cathedral Close.

KING CRIMSON EXPECTATIONS:: Posted by warsaw on September 04, 2007

Hi, I have been reading about the future 2008 Crimson regrouping with dismay, so much for expectations. I am usually disappointed with the fusion digital direction of Bob Fripp and his boys whether I care or not… I ask where is the beautiful noise of the avant gard? All I hear is safe grey fusion rock… Fripp seems a slave to fashion which has helped his career. Fripp will be remembered for his otherworldly science fiction analog Les Paul guitar solos and magnetic tape work. Larry Pittis---NYC

The beautiful noise of the (Crim) avante gard/e was widely attacked for its first 20 years, so I am happy it’s time has come. It’s true, I am a dedicated follower of fashion; undoubtedly, this has brought my career to its present apex of achievement, popularity & riches; while noting the safety net of the grey Lark’s IV that has allowed me to coast to glory. Perhaps Mr. Pittis should take no further interest in future Crimsoning, and spare himself the disappointments & negativity this will cause to rise within his presence?
