This photographer does not take pictures but makes or creates images. This goes beyond photography as it’s traditionally known. This is art. One such is Paolo Aizza, a superb Italian photographer. Virtually unknown, Paolo is paid The Artist’s Rate for his work.
16.45 A major arising, and the Belew house is in shock. Ken Latchney, Adrian’s engineer, has died.
19.39 John is here from Ken’s, having dealt honourably with the necessaries at a time of personal loss.
John was staying with Ken at Ken’s apartment. When John & Ken didn’t arrive at noon, Ade called Ken’s apartment. John answered the call, Ken was in his bedroom & didn’t answer. John assumed Ken was still sleeping. John checked later, around four this afternoon, and called here with the sad news shortly afterwards. It seems most likely that Ken flew away in the night.
Adrian & Martha have called Ken’s Parents in Florida.
My deepest condolences go to Ken’s Parents & Brother, Adrian & Martha, John & Ken’s friends in Nashville. Ken was family to the Belews, and a very good pal of John’s.
We don’t feel able to debut ProjeKct Six tomorrow and, with considerable regret, the show at the Mercy Lounge tomorrow is cancelled. The venue is very sympathetic, understanding & supportive. I apologise to those who were planning to attend & are inconvenienced. As soon as the situation settles, we hope to reschedule. Search Robert Fripp's diary archive. |
